Day 1: LIMA AREQUIPA
(AM)Transfer from the hotel to the airport in Lima,
and departure to Arequipa.
(AM)Flight Lima / Arequipa
(AM) Arrival in Arequipa, reception and transfer to the
hotel.
Day 2: TREKKING TO THE COLCA CAYON (03 days/02 nights)
We start the adventure picking up the passengers
from their hotels at 06:00am, then we take the public
bus to the Cabanaconde town (06 hours of trip
approximately), there we’ll have lunch in a typical
restaurant. After, initiate the walk, arriving to the
San Miguel ground, since that part we can have an
incredible view of the fabulous Colca Canyon, then start
the way down, after about 3 hours and a half of walking,
we´ll arrive to the San Juan community (2,200 masl)
going down 1357 m. approximately, place where Colca
river pass, visiting the surrounding area to overnight
in Indian houses.
Day 3: TREKKING TO THE COLCA CAYON (03days/02night)
After having breakfast, continue with the visit with
the other side of the Canyon, visiting the picturesque
village of Coshñirgua (2450 masl), and Malata, before
going down to the lowest point of the canyon, the Oasis
(2180 masl). Arriving at 13:00pm, and spend the
afternoon resting and relaxing in the natural hot
springs (24º C).
Overnight here in the Bamboo bungalows.
Day 4: TREKKING TO THE COLCA CAYON
Next morning around 03:00am, we start the climbing
to the canyon lighting with flashlights (the walk can’t
be done during the day because the sun light and heat is
too strong in the canyon). Then we have a delicious
breakfast with eggs and panqueques. After that, we take
the transport in order to go to the Cruz Del Condor
point, around 09:00am. the Condors can be seen flying to
the top of the canyon. We take the transport, making a
stop in Chivay Town in order to have lunch, and the
chance to relax in the thermal spring. The
transportation brings us back to Arequipa between 4:00pm
or 06:00pm.
Day 5: AREQUIPA/LIMA
At a certain time, transfer from the hotel to the
airport, and departure to Lima.
