TIWANAKU
(Half Day)

SHalf-Day Tour Starting at Hrs. 08:00 or 14:00 (preferably in the morning) it has an estimated duration of 5 hrs. (Lunch included).

You will visit two archeological museums (an estimated duration of an hour) and the archeological area one and a half hour where you will find the Kalasasaya Temple (one of the biggest ceremonial centers in the world), where you will have the opportunity to appreciate the famous “Puerta del Sol” that weights approximately 10 tons, in this door you can see the Tiwanacota Calendar (365.24 days divided in 12 months) and the hieroglyphics that encloses great wisdom about astronomy and mathematics. It belongs to the first era (before Christ). It was one of the oldest civilizations in the world. At the same time you will visit the pyramid of Akapana and subterranean temple where the archeologist Bennet found in 1930 a monolith of 30 tons and 7 meters of height full of hieroglyphics.

At present it finds it self in the new museum of Tiwanaku.
