The tour begins from Uyuni at 10:00 a.m. going through Colchani. Continuing to visit “ojos de sal”, “montones de sal” and the Salt Hotel arriving near midday to Fish Island or Incahuasi (Casa del Inca), where the are some giant cactus trees to observe and appreciate. Picnic lunch. Lodging the evening in refuges of the locals (made for tourists) in San Juan.
Day 2
Leaving San Juan towards Colorada Lake. Visiting the precious lake of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, Honda and Ramadita with the presence of three different species of flamingos. Going through the desert of Siloli visiting the indescribable “tree of Stone”,” Picnic lunches afterwards continue Colarada Lake (4278 meters A.S.L.). Entering to the National Reserve Park of Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa, a stroll trough the surroundings of the lake, where one can see a great number of borax. In the lake of Colorada there are approximate an estimation of 60.000 different species of flamencos. Dinner and overnight stay on site.
Day 3
An early start approximately 05:30 a.m. to appreciate the Geysers in action by sunrise. Continuing the journey to the thermal baths of Polques. Enjoying a picnic breakfast. After meal go on to Green and White Lake finding then near each other with the beautiful site of Lincabur volcano. After lunch continuing expedition to the desert of Dali named this way for its great similitude to one of the famous paintings of Salvador Dali. Visit “el Valle de las Rocas” the valley of stones where one can appreciate giant stones with indescribable images. Arriving to Alota or Villa Mar to spend the evening in the lodges of the villagers (made for tourists). Villagers
Parting from Alota or Villa Mar towards Uyuni going through the Pampas of Colorada, arriving to Uyuni in the afternoon.
