Day 1
The tour begins from Uyuni at 10:00 a.m. going through Colchani. Continuing to visit “ojos de sal”, “montones de sal” and “hotel de sal” arriving around midday to Fish Island or Incahuasi (Casa del Inca), where the are some giant cactus trees to observe and appreciate. Picnic lunch. Lodging the evening in the refuges of the locals (made for tourists) in San Juan.
Day 2
Leaving San Juan heading to Colorada Lake visiting the precious lake of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, Honda and Ramadita with the presence three different species of flamingos. Going through the desert of Siloli visiting the indescribable “tree of Stone”,” Picnic lunches afterwards continue Colarada Lake. Entering to the National Reserve Park of Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa, a stroll trough the surroundings of the lake, where one can see a great number of borax. In the lake of Colorada there are approximate an estimation of 60.000 different species of flamencos. Dinner and overnight stay on site.
Day 3
An early morning start, approximately 05:30 a.m. to appreciate the Geysers in action by sunrise. Continuing the journey to the thermal baths of Polques, enjoying a picnic breakfast. After meal go on to Green and White Lake finding then near each other with the beautiful site of Lincabur volcano. After lunch the adventure continues through Salar of Chalviri towards the village of Quetana Chico. Spending the evening in the house of the locals.
Day 4
Parting from Quetana Chico, visit of Blue Lake next to a panoramic sight of volcano Uturunco, going through the mines of San Antonio de Lipez arriving to San Pablo de Lipez. Spending the evening in the house of the villagers.
Day 5
Continue to San Vicente where the tombs of Butsch Cassidy and Sundance Kid are buried, two famous gun fighters. Arriving to Tupiza in the afternoon.
Day 6
Option 1 Return to Uyuni.
Option 2 Continue towards Villazon. The Argentinean border.
